Up State New York’s PRP Racing, which is owned and operated by ATV Scene’s Old School columnist Dave Porter, has built hundreds of hybrids over a span of eleven years. Like several aftermarket ATV companies back in the day, PRP built many riders complete state-of-the-art race quads completely out of high performance aftermarket parts.
With the advent of production ATVs many of the hybrid manufacturing companies have had to reinvent themselves. Many have branched into other forms of motor sports others have concentrated their efforts into making production quads better. PRP Racing has done all the above and more. Recently PRP went in a different direction with the creation of some of the quickest quads we’ve ever seen.

D&D Power Sports Arctic Cat 1000
This is the first of many outrageous creations that came from the minds of a few guys that just love to go fast. It was built for one of the most popular Arctic Cat snowmobile dealerships and performance shops in the north east, D&D Power Sports in Lowville, NY.
The motor is a 180 horsepower 1,000cc Arctic Cat snowmobile motor. It was built for 300 foot long dirt drags. Its average speed is 88 mph. Distance time is 3.8 seconds.
