Hunter and Cody Miller

Curious as to who might be tomorrow's Doug Gust? We know of two brothers
from Texas that just might end up fitting this impressive description. Their
names are Hunter and Cody Miller from Greenville, Texas. While at their residence
at the Maxxis 6 Hours of ATV America in Greenville, TX, we fired a few questions
at the boys. Here's what they had to say...
ATV Scene: How old are you guys?
Cody: I'm 16
Hunter: 18

Scene: Tell the readers your ATV racing accomplishments:
Cody: I
won the 90 mod MX championship, got a third in the 90 mod TT, and this year
I won the 16-24 and the Production A class at the Glen Helen GNC opener.
Hunter: I
was third for the season in the A class and fourth in the Pro-Am class at the
GNC MXs. I also won the Open Pro Championship at the TQRA series.

ATV Scene:
What do you guys see as a reachable goal this year?
Cody: I
would like to win the 16-24 class and place well in the Production A class at
the MX GNCs. I want to concentrate on the motocrosses but I might race a few
TTs this year as well.
Hunter: This year I would like to finish
top three in the Production Pro Am and win the Production A class. And I want
to make the jump to the pro class next year.
ATV Scene:
How do you guys get along on and off the track?
Cody: This
year we're in the Production A class together. We hate each other on the track.
Off the track we're OK, except in the mornings when he's grumpy.
Hunter: We're extremely competitive
in everything we do. The only grumpy one is Cody -- when it's his time of the
month.
ATV Scene: Who's faster
Cody: Lets put
it this way I won both my classes at the GNC opener at Glen Helen and he DNFed
both of his.
Hunter: Before I DNFed I had to pass about five
riders and one of them was this bitch right here.

ATV Scene:What's with all the
wild animals on your property?
Cody: They're dad
and mom's hobby.
Hunter: Yeah my father is crazy. Be careful if you ever wind
up lost on our property.
ATV
Scene: What are some of the animals?
Cody: We have killer osterages! They're for dad's
entertainment. When the male's are in season they'll run 200 acres to either
try to have sex with you or kill you with their dagger hoofs. No lie they wont
stop kicking you until you are dead.
Hunter: Yeah we don't go near
that area of the property. We also have buffalo, white tail deer, red deer,
horses, llama, peacocks, chickens, swans, ducks and who knows what else is roaming
around out there.
ATV Scene: Rumor has it there
is an alligator in the pond
Hunter: Yeah, that's our secret
to getting in top shape. The alligator in the lake makes you swim faster.
ATV Scene: Current Ride?
Cody: A Trinity/TRC
YFZ450 and an Extreme pit bike.
Hunter: Trinity/TRC YFZ450 and a Chevy Silvarodo Z-71

ATV Scene: How get started in
ATV racing?
Cody: Dad bought
us two brand new Yamaha Blasters when we were 9 and 11 for Christmas.
Hunter: We started racing each other right away.
We went to a local motocross track at 9 and 11. My dad was proud as all can
be and told the track owner our age - needless to say we were instantly asked
to leave since they said we were too small for the Blasters. So we built our
own track on our property. Later we got involved with the TQRA, where they encouraged
our riding.
ATV Scene: What is Caddo Point?
Cody: We're fortunate
enough to have 400 acres of land. It's a wild life park, it's our practice track
(which has evolved into a national worthy track) and it's our home.
ATV Scene:
How did the inaugural 6 Hours of ATV America wind up in your back yard?
Cody: Terry Reynolds and Mike
Purcell from the Oklahoma Quad Racing Association talked Fast-Trak Promo into
holding the first 6 Hours here. We're glad they did. The track was really cool.
It was cool to race on a track that combined TT, MX and XC all in one lap.
ATV Scene: How
did it go for you guys at the 6 Hours?
Hunter: We had a good winning pace, in fact we
had the fastest lap times of the day. Unfortunately we had some problems and
ended the day early. I think the long drive killed us. So next year we're going
to move the pits closer to the house.

Scene: Do either of you compete in any other sports?
Cody: I can barely walk, much less run. I ride
because there's pretty much nothing else that I can do well.
Hunter: I agree, we suck at everything that requires
just one ball, (if you know what I mean).
ATV Scene: ATV racing role model?
Cody: Doug Gust
has more determination and stamina than anyone I've ever seen, so he's my pick.
Hunter: That's a good choice, but I'll look to
bike racing for mine. Bubba Stewart. He's my age and already that fast and smooth.
And he's already making a fortune too.
ATV Scene: Rumor has it you
guys share your girlfriends?
Cody: Yeah, we
share everything (laughing).
Hunter: No way! My Mandy is way too much woman
for that punk. Actually the rumor is way off. They're are both named Mandy,
that's all there is to it.
ATV Scene: What's your favorite
track?
Cody: Casey, IL
because of their big triple and their whoop sections. It's a really fun track.
Hunter: The rougher the track the better. I like
Southwick and Macon.
ATV Scene:
Have either of you raced any cross country events? If so, how do you like that
kind of racing?
Hunter: Both of our first races were cross country
races. It was the TQRA's first ever event held at Lake Murray, TX. Since then,
I've only raced the 6 Hours of ATV America, which featured some cross country
terrain. I would like to race a GNCC some day though.
Cody: I raced the 12 Hours of
ATV America and the "6 Hours of Our Back Yard". I love those kind
of events. I like how there is no pressure. It's more of a relaxed day of fun
with your friends - only they score you.
ATV Scene: What was your most
interesting rode trip?
Cody: I had fun
on the flight from TX to Las Vegas then on to CA this year. I can't go into
a lot of the details but hookers are legal in Nevada, (just kidding) - not that
kind of fun. It was more like fun with wheel chairs in the airport gates. That
type of thing.
Hunter: When we were driving back from Little
Sahara, the tongue of our brand new trailer ripped off and took the rear end
of the motor home off with it. It was pretty messed up. We walked around and
found some old angle iron and welded up a new trailer set-up all on our own.

ATV Scene: Who sponsors you?
Cody: We have identical
sponsors and plan to continue with this program. Our quads are going to look
identical this year besides the numbers on them. I'm #22 and Hunter is #90.
Hunter: We're sponsored by JH Racing, ITP, Trinity
Racing, TRC components, Goat Eyewear, Bullet Motorsports and Caddo Point Motorsports
(which is our own track).
