Huevos 5 is the bomb! H-Bomb Films director Wes Miller has outdone himself again. The fifth installment in the Huevos series features innovative aerial camera shots via helicopter and ultralite. It's filmed entirely in 16 mm format. Most importantly in my opinion, it features riders going big on a wide selection of ATVs including Raptors, 400EXs, Cannondale Motos and DS650s. This is a pleasant change from the stagnant parade of the past, the Fourtrax 250R, an ATV that today's newcomer to the sport just can't relate to.
H-Bomb is taking ATV Freestyle to new levels. A new generation of ATV tricksters pull off unbelievable freestyle moves in Huevos 5. Other than the backflip, these guys match the freestyle MXers like Mike Metzger trick for trick. The creation of the H-Bomb Squad freestyle show team is sure to elevate the sport even further. Sheldon Riggs is the new king of ATV freestyle busting big on a virtually stock Yamaha Raptor! 16 year old Ryan Bemis is magical on a 400EX. August Goebel and Jon Chandler round out the new breed of ATV freestylers who join veteran Dana Creech on Miller's "Bomb Squad". Wes Miller had a special quad-width portable freestyle ramp built so the boys can go huge virtually anywhere. One segment of the video shows the team doing an exhibition in the parking lot of Three Brothers Racing in California. The footage of the quads launching off the metal ramp was amazing!

| Pictured here is Ryan Bemis and August Goebel. This isn't trick photography. Today's ATV freestyler will flat out amaze you and Huevos 5 is the only place you'll see it. |
Dana Creech is innovative as ever in Huevos 5. I'm not quite sure what you would call the trick, but he shows some amazing bike control doing 360 degree circle walks on his 250R. Unfortunately, Creech also experiences a great deal of pain on camera when his quad quits running on takeoff at the Division 4 Freestyle Showdown during the Bardstown, KY GNC TT. The crash results in two cracked vertebrae, ending Creech's 2002 racing season prematurely. I'm happy to report that Creech has recovered well and looks forward to the '03 racing season.
The introduction segment to Huevos 5 is almost surreal and very symbolic. Wes Miller's film-making talents show through as the camera pans between close-ups of sponsor logos, quad parts and the beautiful lady mechanic. Quite the innovative way to provide logo time to the video sponsors.
Other highlights include some spectacular sand dune riding featuring GNC Pro's Keith Little and Tavis Cain on the biggest dunes in the world in Namibia and deep swamp mud-bogging with ATV Legend Marty Hart in Louisiana. Race Action gets serious screen time via GNC Motocross, the Pike's Peak Hillclimb and the Adelando Grand Prix. Huevos 5 cameras showed up on locales ranging from South Africa to Kentucky to California. This is not your local grocery store of footage!

Huevos 5 is available on VHS and DVD. The DVD version is the way to go. For the extra $5 you get access to tons of special features including two additional versions of the entire video. The first features an alternate soundtrack for those not into today's alternative rock. It's a mellow soundtrack that even the grandparents will love. The second version is a director's commentary where Wes Miller discusses the behind the scenes details of the video. The extra footage, in my opinion, is the most interesting part of H-5, and you just don't get it with the VHS.
